“Life is too short to hangout with the people who aren’t resourceful”- Jeff Bezos
With the online retailer’s worth afflux, the Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos has crossed all the hurdles and attained several milestones, thus crossing the bars this July and accomplishing the status of the world’s richest man, whipping the rival, Bill Gates.
The five interesting things you didn’t know about the man who is wealthier than Bill gates are:
First Job at McDonald’s:
Jeff Bezos, just like the others has struggled to pave his way into the market. His initial job has been at McDonald’s, where he claimed to have learnt many important lessons of life including the tackling of various responsibilities in life, which also inculcated the required seriousness in him.
“My first week on the job, a five-gallon, wall-mounted ketchup dispenser got stuck open in the kitchen and dumped a prodigious quantity of ketchup into every hard-to-reach kitchen crevice,” he told interviewer Cody Teets.
He also quoted “Since I was the new guy, they handed me the cleaning solution and said, ‘Get going!’You can learn responsibility in any job, if you take it seriously. You can learn a lot as a teenager working at McDonald’s. It’s different from what you learn in school. Don’t underestimate the value of that!”
Early investor in Google:
Despite being the CEO of the popular Amazon, he had even invested $250,000 in Google, being one of the early investors in the year 1998.
Building mystery clock in the desert:
Jeff Bezos’s one of the most enchanting field operations is building a mystery clock in the desert that is believed to run for around 10,000 years. He has claimed to have invested $42million in the project of 500 feet tall clock in the mountain in Texas.
Powered by the wind mill and the solar energy, it is even believed to perdure the pyramids and Amazon.
“We humans have become so technologically sophisticated that in certain ways we’re dangerous to ourselves,” Bezos urged the Wall Street Journal in an interview about the clock.
Owns the ‘Amazon Washington post’:
He has even taken over the 140 year old Washington post at worth $250m. The post since then has attained a huge digital growth.
His stake hasn’t been an eye candy to everyone, recently witnessing President Donald Trump, aiming at the internet mogul, reiterating the post’s name by
” Amazon Washington post”.
Wants to evacuate Humans from the earth:
Similar to his Billionaire accomplice Elon Musk, Bezos also is of the thought that if the human species is to survive than the planet Earth must be evacuated. For this he even created an alluring technology Blue Origin via which the humans will be sent to space at a low cost. Its first test flight was launched in 2015.
He has further planned to man the first mission in 2018, with the commercial flight to be launched soon after.
