As the sword shows two tigers standing erect facing each other, it is crystal clear that the movie is a pick from a Tamil novel of the same name and is going to narrate the chronicles of making of the Chola Empire in South.

Talking about the plot of Aishwarya Rai’s latest movie, a source told Mid-Day that Aishwarya will be playing the role of a witty woman responsible for the fall of the Chola Empire. It said “The story takes place in the 10th century before Raja Raja Chola became a king. Aishwarya will be seen as Nandini, the wife of Periya Pazhuvettarayar, who served as the chancellor and treasurer of the Cholakingdom. Her character is written as a mysterious, power-hungry woman who manipulates her husband to plan the downfall of the Chola empire because she has been wronged by them.”
Aishwarya Rai’s latest movie is directed by Mani Ratnam and as the actress has worked earlier with the same director in many hit films, she opens up to The Hindu about her experience saying “I will confirm that I am doing the film. I am on this journey with him, and it will be an honor to be a part of anything Mani chooses to do ever.”
