Akshay Kumar has dominated the domestic box office with a large number of films but it looks like Shahid Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal have managed to take the advantages with their respective releases at the box office.
Akshay has been a huge, powerful, and overwhelming force at the box office with releases like ‘Kesari’, ‘Mission Mangal’ and ‘Housefull 4’ already raking several crores and ‘Good News’ is that yet to hit the theatres. Akshay Kumar is looking adamant to reach the astounding figure of Rs 1000 crore at the box office this year, his latest release ‘Housefull 4’ has been creating new records at the box office.
Very soon Akshay Kumar will become the FIRST Bollywood actor to reach the Rs 1000 crore benchmark at the box office by the end of 2019.
According to the latest report on Boxofficeindia.com, the Fahad Samji multi-starrer has grabbed the 12th spot in Mumbai’s top-grossing films of all time. Akshay’s ‘Housefull 4’ has managed to beat Hrithik Roshan’s ‘War’.
Akshay’s film has collected Rs 79.25 crore while the Hritik’s film had collected Rs 77.42 crore in Mumbai. But it looks like the films of Sasha’s ‘Kabir Singh‘ and Vicky’s ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike‘ have stolen the applaud as they have raked in Rs 87.21 crore and Rs 84.11 crore respectively this year in Mumbai itself.
While ‘Housefull 4’ is estimated to surpass the total collection of ‘Golmaal Again’ and become the highest-earning comedy film in Bollywood, it has failed to overcome Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn film’s collection in the Mumbai circuit as it is way ahead with Rs 87.08 crore. With ‘Baahubali 2: It is the ultimate and is topping the list with Rs 186.51 crore, it has set very high level and is at the top leaving no film close to it.
