Having a dry mouth can cause smelly and bad breath
Saliva is an important part of maintaining a healthy mouth. When salivary glands don’t make enough saliva then it results in the dry mouth, also known as xerostomia. This allows bacteria to grow, leading to bad breath and tooth decay.
