Government to Start Ubi Scheme for Coronavirus
With this onset, Coronavirus (Covid-19) seems to have a clear impact on business worldwide. The international economy is entering a downturn. Due to which the Indian economy is also being affected. All most all the companies are being asked to shut down due to the virus. So that people can be protected from infection. The necessary measures are taken for safety, employed people have been asked to work from home if they can. But this is also true that, there are many tasks which are difficult to do from home.
Universal Basic Income
Not only is this but people are also afraid of losing their jobs. In such a situation, it is being told that the government would start Universal Basic Income (UBI) to help those affected by the coronavirus. According to a Live Mint report, trusted sources said that if a scheme like Universal Basic Income starts in India, it could take the form of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana, money is transferred to the bank account of the farmers.
