There are many diets which claim to cut down weight. However, the truth is that any specific diet which is beneficial for one might not work for others. Given below are some of the diets which may help you in losing weight
This diet was created by vegetarians who do not consume dairy, eggs or any other animal products. There is no animal exploitation and cruelty for ethical, environmental or health reasons. It helps in reducing kilos as there is low fat and high fiber content in this diet.
Vegan diets have consistently been linked with lower body weight and body mass index (BMI), compared to other diets.
2. Atkins Diet
This diet is very popular as it helps in losing weight. In this diet, you have to avoid cards and can consume fat products and proteins. This diet is effective in that it reduces your appetite and weight is reduced as a result.
This causes you to eat fewer calories without having to think about it.
3. Sporadic Fasting
Well, this is an eating pattern that rotates between periods of fasting and eating. It is not a diet in fact, it more of a pattern as to what should be eaten and what not. One can fast for the entire day once or twice a week when following this diet. Also, fruits and vegetables can be eaten during the day and one meal, say dinner.
4. Ultra-low fat diet
It restricts the consumption of fat to under 10% of consumed calories. This diet is ineffective for weight loss in the long term. It is high in carbs and low in protein. It is mostly plant-based.
5. Low-carb diet
This diet forces the body to use more fats for fuel, instead of using carbs as a main source of energy. Low-carb diets are based on eating unlimited amounts of protein and fat. One has to limit the amount of carbs in this diet.
6. Zone Diet
It is a diet which includes eating only carbs with a low glycemic load. The glycemic load (GL) of a food is an estimate of how much a food will raise your blood glucose levels after eating it. The Zone diet recommends balancing each meal with one-third protein, two-thirds colorful fruits and veggies and a dash of fat.
7. Dukan Diet
It is a high-protein, low-carb, low calorie weight loss diet. It can be divided into four phases — two weight loss phases and two maintenance phases. Each phase has its own dietary pattern. The weight loss phases are primarily based on eating unlimited high-protein foods.
8. Paleo Diet
One can eat anything we could hunt or gather way back in the day – things like meats, fish, nuts, leafy greens, regional veggies, and seeds in this diet. The theory is that most modern diseases can be linked to the Western diet. The Paleo diet includes whole foods, lean protein, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds, while avoiding processed foods, sugar, dairy and grains. It reduces risk factors for heart disease, such as cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure.
