The global company ‘Movehub’ which helps people settle abroad has recently given rankings to identify the most expensive countries across the world. The company has given an index of 100 to New York and according to them, any country scoring more than 100 would be more expensive than New York. Following are the most expensive countries according to their rankings:-
Switzerland: Already ranking in top countries in Human Development Index due to the infrastructure, Healthcare and clean environment facilities, Switzerland also tops the list of most expensive nations of Europe with a score of about 90.68.
Iceland:- the country does not have agricultural grounds and has to import most of its food from rest of the world therefore, cost of living here is very high and it scores about 80.47 percent on the development index.
Singapore:- You may be surprised to see this south Asian country on the list of world’s most expensive countries. Singapore has a high cost of living and from housing to grocery, everything comes in for good bucks.
Norway: Providing the high standards of living and among the top countries in Human Development Index ranking, Among Scandinavian countries and across the Globe, Norway is one of the most expensive countries of the world. It scored a 74.47 on the index by Movehub.
Bahamas: One of the most expensive island nation, here the cost of goods is inflated due to imports increasing the exports.
United Arab Emirates: Set as a home to the rich and famous people of the world, United Arab Emirates is one of the most expensive places to live in.
Luxemburg: Located at the borders of France, this small landlocked country is beautifully best and has a high cost of living.
