American Model and internationally known actress Gigi Hadid was arrested for possession of Marijuana after she arrived in the Cayman Islands on a private jet. Hadid was travelling with her friend Leh Nicole McCarthy at the time, and officials found marijuana in their luggage. They both were arrested and taken to the prisoner detention centre, but were later released on bail and fined $1000 each.
Hadid later broke her silence on the incident with a photo on Instagram with the caption “All’s well that ends well”! She also apologized, saying she was deeply sorry for the incident and took full responsibility for her actions. Gigi’s arrest was criticized by some netizens, as they said that marijuana is legal in New York and in Cayman as well, but some people were against Gigi’s actions.
Last year, Gigi landed into controversy when she got separated from her longtime partner, Zyan Malik. They broke up following an altercation between Zyan and Gigi’s mother, Yolanda Hadid. It was claimed that Zyan allegedly struck Yolanda at the family’s home.
