Travelling on Delhi Metro more than 5km from Tuesday is expensive, now you have to pay extra bucks of Rs 10 with this another Delhi Metro Fare proposed hike. This enhancement in Delhi Metro fare come into the ground when the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided that there will be a rollback of this decision. Moreover, this has become another reason of grudge between the Central government and Arvind Kejriwal led Delhi government.
This is the second time DMRC has increased the fare, earlier on the month of May minimum fare was raised from Rs 8 to Rs 10 and maximum fare increased from Rs 30 to Rs 50. Now this increased fare will affect those Delhi Metro travelers who travel beyond 5km. In this new fare slab, you can see that between 0-2KM remains the same as Rs 10. But if travel between 2Km-5Km then you have to pay 5 Rs more from the last fare. Beyond 5Km travel, you have to pay 10 Rs more than the previous fare.
