New Zealand beat Bangladesh by 2 wickets in the 9th match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at Kennington Oval, London on Wednesday.
However, It was a cracker of a contest between the two sides as Bangladeshi bowlers made it tough for the Kiwi batsmen to chase down the 245-run target. Ross Taylor struck a brilliant 82 to get his team over the line in the tight contest.
Bangladesh was bowled out for 244 inside 50 overs, put in on a fresh pitch which was slower than expected. Shakib Hasan, the 3rd Bangladeshi to play 200 ODIs, top scored with 64. He was the only batsman to make more than 30.
Man of the Match
Ross Taylor was declared as the man of the match in the 9th match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. He settled well at the crease and brought his 50 as well. He lifted his side once again when it was needed the most and smashed Mustafizur to bring up his 50.
