  • Kohli reached the high point in the 13th over after taking a single off Lakshan Sandakan.
  • Not only as a player but also Kohli became the fastest captain to reach the milestone as he was able to achieve the target in 169 matches (196 innings).
  • Even Kohli had struck off former Australia captain Ricky Ponting, who had taken 252 innings to achieve the same.
  • Virat Kohli is only the first Cricket player to reach the target of 11000 international runs as captain under 200 innings.

India won the third T20I at Pune exhaustively by 78 runs to claim the three-match series 2-0. Kohli, who came on the field to bat at No.6, happened only for the 2nd time in his career after 2018 and he scored 27 in 17 balls before getting run out, The first match was a washout.

KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan both had made the fifties and laid the foundation for India’s impressive score of 201-6 after being put on batting after Kohli at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Even the bowlers had shown the impressive output of the game, Saini, took 2 wickets in 18 bowls in the second match and led the defeat declaring 3 wickets in 28 bowls, while Thakur grabbed two wickets to go with his 22 bowls not out, off just eight deliveries.
