Why Virat Kohli does not want Anil as coach of team India:-
It is a tough time for Team India as the captain, Virat Kohli and a few other players are unhappy with the coach of the team Anil Kumble. The news came out at a very crucial time when India was set to play against Pakistan on June 4. It was expected that Kumble would be considered to receive an extension till the 2019 World Cup as team India won a lot of matches under him.
Though he has got the image of a “hard task-master.” The players seem to be happier with Ravi Shastri’s methods. Sources said that Kohli met Ganguly after the practice match with New Zealand and seems to have discussed the issue at length with him. A certain section of BCCI is in favor of extending Kumble’s contract while Kohli is uncomfortable with the decision.
Kumble’s contract will be ending after the Champions Trophy and the board is yet to decide what steps are to be taken. BCCI’s advisory panel consisting of Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman are now expected to help in sorting out the issue and bring out peace between Kohli and Kumble.
The Supreme Court appointed committee has been backing Kumble. Sehwag and Ravi Shastri were asked to apply but both of them refused. A section of BCCI also wanted Rahul Dravid to apply for the job but there was not much development. The CoA had therefore asked the three member panel to sort out differences between the players and the coach. For the Indian Cricket team to perform swiftly in the ongoing series, it is the need of the hour to reconcile the differences between the two and find a solution to existing problem.
