Story Behind the Story of Farting Competition
“I farted in the middle of watching a movie with my family and one of them laughed, and said that if there was a contest, I would’ve won. That’s when it hit me that while fart contests happen in countries like China, UK, and US, and even have a world cup, we don’t have anything like it in India,” SANGOI IN AN INTERVIEW
You might be speculating about the person who first thought of hosting such a competition, but actually, they were two. The 48 years old YatinSangoi and his partner MulSanghvi have started the hunt for India’s first Padshah; the one with the loudest, longest, and most musical fart. Sangoi, when asked about the idea said, it was his family members who assured he could win a farting competition if there was any.
This is when he thought about it for the first time, and the fact that countries like UK, USA, and China had already hosted such competitions motivated him. Sangoi has commenced a mission to#FreeTheFart, with the hunt for Indian Padshah. People have appreciated such an initiative, and more than 40 participants have already registered for it.
“I want to normalize the process of farting” Sangoi’s On Farting Competition
When he was asked about their intentions behind this competition, he told that farting is a natural phenomenon and it is completely normal, but people nowadays don’t feel comfortable accepting and acknowledging its existence which must not be the case. Fart is normal, and it must be treated like one. He said: “I want to normalize the process of farting. Even 20-25 years back, people used to fart openly, but now they’ve become all sophisticated and consider it gross, often shamed for farting publicly when even doctors will tell you that farting is one of the healthiest human body functions.”
The participants are not only coming from the Cities of Gujrat, but People from States like Jaipur, Hyderabad, Mumbai and many more have registered for it. The event will start from 10:30 at a local club of Surat, and the contestants with loudest and longest fart will not only win prize money but also the trophies of Indian Padshah (India first FART competition).
For people who are frowning at the idea, we would say, it’s not their cup of tea; but if you are amazed and are curious to know more. The organizers have shared some tips and diet including radish, beans, boiled potato, etc. to prepare for the competition on their facebook page. The idea behind all this is to promote fun and fart, and some comedians and doctors will judge the event. It all started with a trivial incident but has taken a serious form as the organizers are planning to host such events in other metro cities, and are also thinking of starting burp competitions as well.
