Seven Cops Suspended For Unnao Rape Case Negligence

In the Unnao rape case the justice which a brave woman deserved when she was alive, but the system could not hear to her and kept crawling and no decision was made. As and now when she was brutally killed by the accused for setting her on fire, now the system has opened its eyes. On behalf of this shameful event strict action against concerned officials has been taken, for its negligence in the Unnao rape-murder victim’s case, the Uttar Pradesh Police on Sunday had suspended seven police officers including the Station House Officer (SHO) of Bihar police station in Unnao district.

The Superintendent of Police Vikrant Veer of Unnao took action against SHO Ajay Tripathi, six-beat inspectors and four constables of Bihar police station in Unnao.

One of the two rape accused, Shivam Trivedi, got bail on November 25 from the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court, 10 days after he and the four men allegedly set the woman on fire.

Unnao rape victim was taken for cremation on Sunday afternoon by her family at her native village amidst heavy security. The huge mass of local residents and officials were present. Villagers from all around nearby paid their respects to the grief-stricken departed soul before the body was taken for the last rites.

The sister of Unnao rape victim declared that the family of the victim will not cremate the 23-year-old woman’s mortal remains unless Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visits them. The sister of the victim said that they need to talk to him and CM Yogi must visit them and give an immediate decision. She also demanded the state government job for her.

Though CM yogi could not visit the Uttar Pradesh administration revealed that all the demands of the victim`s family have been accepted. Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Mukesh Meshram said that they held prolonged talks with the victim`s family and guaranteed them of all possible help and support.

Meshram said whatever they are with their demands it will be accepted and the case will be put to trial in fast track court so that culprits are given the deserved punishment as soon as possible, apart from that he also said that, the family of the deceased victim is poor, and their assets are very limited, so, they will be provided with all the facilities, very soon it will be sanctioned by the government.

The Uttar Pradesh had announced a compensation of Rs 25 lakhs to the family of the rape victim on Saturday (December 7), and the government also announced that a quick decision will be taken by setting up the fast track court for the speedy hearing of the case.

Again the politicians got the opportunity for playing the blame games, congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited the victim’s family and expressed anger over the incident. After meeting the family, she also had a word with media, Priyanka got the opportunity to burst out at the Uttar Pradesh government claiming that law and order in the state have deteriorated completely.

She confessed that it is a failure of all of us that we could not give her justice. Within society, everyone is guilty, but it also shows the negligence of the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh.
