We would have witnessed the great match where Raphael Nadal faces his country mate Pablo Carreno Busta until rains entered the scene. Because of heavy downpours in Paris this and all other matches of French open 2017 which to be played on Tuesday are postponed and to be played today.
Rapahel Nadal seems confident here with his previous wins and hopes to triumph this as well. He is determined to win his 10th record title at the Roland Garros. With Nadal’s previous victory over fellow Spaniard as 6-1 6-2 6-2 he has proved his worth to reach the Quarter Finals. Its been a good move for him through the game since Raphael Nadal has just dropped 20 games in 4 rounds at Roland Garros.
On the other hand it is fellow countrymen Pablo Carreno Busta whom he is going to face. He is the 20th seed who has been a surprise package to come this far in a grand slam ever in his career. Carreno Busta fulfilled his victory in the last 16 over 5th seed Milos Raonic to butter ahead in the Quarter Finals. Even though the chances for Pablo are less he talks positively, “If I think that I don’t have chances, I will not play. Rafa is maybe the best player on this surface in history, and he’s playing really good, but I will try.” It will be interesting to see who surfaces as the match progresses.

Along with the postponement of matches the close encounter between Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem is also rescheduled to be held on Wednesday. The Serbian in his prime form as expected continued his run into the Quarter Finals after defeating the Spanish player Ramos Vinolas. It is interesting to see that it is Dominic Thiem who has been the only person to defeat Raphael Nadal on the clay ground this season. Its Dominic’s 2nd entry into the Grand Slam Quarter Finals. It will be a challenging game tough enough for both sides to crack.
Thiem is down to earth and says, “I have to change something compared to the last matches. I will talk to my coach, to my team. Then maybe change something up and hope that I play a good match on Tuesday.” He is focused on playing a fair game and is less concentrated on winning it.
Even though Djokovic thinks, “Obviously never losing to a player always helps mentally a little bit, but I don’t think it’s gonna play too big of a role, actually. I think he really will step it up and try to do something special.” Its encouraging to hear such words from the mouths of a defending champion who always looks for new challenges.
In the turn of events of rescheduling the matches it will be an event to witness in full form who will enter the Semi- Finals.
