As billboard announced decade’s top 10 acts in various genres, Katy Perry ranks 8 in the list of Top artist of 2010s. Previously, Post Malone was ranked 10 in December whereas ninth rank was attained by Maroon 5, as announced on 7th January. The full list of top artists including the final first rank will be announced on 29th April 2020 in the live show of Billboard music awards 2020. The show will go on air on NCB MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
On 14th November 2019, Billboard published a list of top artists ranking Nos 11 for 2010’s among several decade ender charts. It also announced Nos 11 form the top 50 of country, rock, R&B/ hip-hop, Latin, Christian, gospel, dance/electronic and touring.
Songs from Katy Perry albums topped the list of Billboard hot 100 in 2010s. Five of Katy Perry songs were released from the album Teenage Dream which was released in 2010. This set was the first ever set by a woman. Also, it stands at the second position after Michael Jackson’s Bad to get five Hot 100 No 1s. All the three Katy Perry albums – Teenage Dream, PRISM and Witness- opened at number 1.
