Karan Johar to be first Indian filmmaker in Madame Tussauds collection

Following the launch of the wax statue of the popular actor, Varun Dhawan on 30th January 2018 in Hong Kong, it is now the turn of the filmmaker Karan Johar who will witness his wax statue in Madame Tussauds in  London.

 It will definitely mark a big day for him being the only filmmaker till date to get his wax statue in Madame Tussauds, London.”Karan Johar’s talent and career goes well beyond just filmmaking which makes him an exciting and entertaining personality for them to add to the many other iconic International wax figures. Additionally, his wax figure will not just be launched in one city but will simultaneously head out on tour across Asia to give his many fans across the world a chance to experience him being waxed,” quoted a statement.

 The wax statue will, however, be launched at the later time of this year. KJo has also been witnessed tweeting about this remarkable achievement as being blissfully “honoured” by this stupendous world-wide recognization.He has also recently come in terms with the artistic directors of the museum and his statue is presently in progress.

 Karan Johar, 45, was debuted as a director, 20 years ago with one of the most viewed film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai with the cast of the most hit jodi of the 90’s, Sharukh Khan and Kajol. In addition, he has also directed the films: Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kal Ho Naa Ho, My Name Is Khan, Student of the year and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, 2016, being his last directed blockbuster hit.

 Besides, he has also produced the hit movies like Dostana, Agneepath, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Badrinath Ki Dulhania.Further, the Hindi version of S S Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion, was known to be distributed by Dharma Productions, which is also owned by Karan Johar.

 KJo has also been a part of some shows and a host of many awards functions too. With his debut in Indradhanush , a TV show in 1989, he has thereby also been a part of the blockbusters like Dilwaale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge as the friend of Shah Rukh Khan, Bombay Velvet and Welcome to New York.

 He is also recently known to produce the films: Raazi, Kesari, Brahmastra and Kalank. Madame Tussauds already holds the wax statues of the renowned Indian personalities like Amitabh Bachhan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachhan, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and the list goes on!
