Recently Priyanka Chopra was being targeted on social media for her smoking picture. It was her first birthday after her wedding and a grand celebration was obvious to take place. With her mother Madhu Chopra and sister Parineeti, Priyanka was seen celebrating a gala time on Miami beach. But her picture at a yacht holding a cigarette and her hubby enjoying cigar created a buzz over social media. Considering her earlier advertisement on avoiding the use of firecrackers on Diwali to prevent discomfort to asthmatic patients, she was made a target for the trollers. Her fans wrote “Diwali is injurious to health, not smoking. Because asthma is caused due to Diwali, not smoking. Thanks to Priyanka Chopra for such a great research.”
Priyanka acknowledged all the greetings for her birthday on social media and gave a snub to her haters. She commented on Instagram: “Hi everyone! Thank you so much for all the wonderful birthday messages and wish… you have made my day extremely special. Sorry, I haven’t responded earlier, was taking a bit of break from technology… but now I’m back and I just want to say THANK YOU ALL SOOOOO MUCH. I hope everyone feels as loved as I do.”
Priyanka earlier opted out from the film Bharat starring Salman Khan but will soon be seen with Farhan Akhtar in The Sky is Pink saying that the director’s passion and the role she was chosen for took her heart.
Her cousin Parineeti who was present in this party has reacted to this. “I don’t have a right to speak on it and that’s why I don’t want to speak on it. Its about my sister so it’s a very sensitive topic for me and I don’t want to get into it but just wish that everybody would stop and really think about what could have happened and not just write shit. It was her birthday. It was the most beautiful birthday in the world and I really don’t want people to speak anything else.” Parineeti who is currently promoting her upcoming film Jabariya Jodi also shared a picture from the same yacht captioning “Miami done right! Chill day on the boat laughing, dancing and making merry. Best way to celebrate a bday I’d say.” She was also present in her sister’s cake cutting ceremony and posted her birthday wishes “In Miami with the birthday gurllll! Happy bday Mimi didi. There’s never gonna be another like you. Actress or sister @priyankachopra.”
