Facebook said this collaboration can lead to the vast majority of Sanzaru to join the Oculus Studios team. It was added by Facebook that in November 2019, they had acquired Beat Games, the developer of popular Virtual Reality rhythm game called Beat Saber. Beat Games became part of Facebook’s VR gaming Group Oculus Studios.
Facebook in September 2019, at its sixth Oculus Connect conference revealed its vision for VR and plans to build the future of computing with people at the centre with new updates for Quest Virtual Reality Headsets.
In the midst of the conference there were announcements of Oculus Link which would allow users to connect Quest with a PC via a USB-C cable, including announcing Horizon and finger tracking for Quest. In addition to above the company had also announced Facebook Horizon, a new social experience in VR where one could build their own worlds with easy-to-use tools (no coding skills required).
