With the rapid spread of the #MeToo phenomena across the world through the social media, which was raised against the magnate Harvey Weinstein for sexually assaulting the women, the world witnessed a gushing load of tweets and comments for the same, by different women from different parts of the world.
It was on October 15th 2017, that actress Alyssa Milano tweeted: “If you’ve been sexually harassed or assaulted write ‘me too’ as a reply to this tweet.” She also put forward that her one friend suggested that “If all women who have been sexually harassed or assaulted wrote ’me too.’ as a status, we might give people a sense of the magnitude of the problem.”
Earlier, they never had the slightest idea about the widespread attraction towards this and today there are almost 60,000 replies to her post and still counting!
This step has definitely marked the grandeur of the issue and has thus, highlighted various sexual assaults the women have gone through. This has somewhere put forth the dirty, filthy and soul wrenching men, who have attempted for the same.
This has not only given the platform for the women to share their experiences but has also given the men to share theirs as well as comprehend the seriousness of the matter.
Few experiences have left me chilling, as to how rotten can humans turn to quench their thirst for lust!
Every girl must have faced it at some point in her life! At least I have had!
#MeToo: It was on my 15th Birthday. I was in Hyderabad. I was in a hookah parlor with my friends. One of my friend had this one lousy, filthy piece of shitty a**h*** friend, who always wanted to get into my pants. I did notice this at a very early stage and time and again warned my friend, not to accompany him, when I am around. My friend turned a deaf ear to this and even brought him on my special day to the hookah parlor. I kept persistently telling him either to tell him to leave or to leave himself. He promised they will be leaving in five minutes.
After sometime, I left for the washroom, oblivious of the guy following me. Before I could realize he pushed me into the washroom, rammed me into the corner and started unbuttoning my skirt. I kept shouting for help but all in vain as the music was very loud. Suddenly, my friend realized something fishy and came towards the restroom, it was then he heard me screaming and broke the door open with the help of my other friends!! I am really thankful to god that he came to my rescue! I slapped that b****** hard on his face and dragged him to the ground and hit him hard till he choked. Finally, I stormed out!!
Those 5 minutes have been the hardest of my life! I really pity his parents for bringing a nuisance like him on earth!
I myself being in the shoes of the victims can tell that it’s not easy to deal with such situations, but be brave and smart to avoid them or deal with them at full spree is all I can add. IT’S EITHER THE HIGH WAY OR NO WAY AT ALL!!
