Amazon Prime Day sale

Amazon Prime Day sale: Every year, Amazon holds Amazon Prime Day for 2 days. During this period, people can purchase their dream items at heavy discounts. This year, 15th and 16th July were prime days across the world. Shoppers wait for this time eagerly and put all the desired items in the cart before the sale starts (Amazon Prime Day sale).

Amazon made Jeff Bezos the richest man in the world. Top-notch engineers and security personnel work at Amazon but still, something happened this prime day which everyone at Amazon would like to forget. However, the blunder was big at this year’s prime day and will pinch Amazon for a long time. No doubt that it was a genuine mistake on Amazon’s part but the person that received the benefit is very likely to be the happiest person in the world right now.

During the Prime Day sale, Amazon suffered from a glitch which allowed the buyer to get a high-end professional camera gear at the price of a cheap phone. The guy who purchased the camera gear is a photographer. The actual cost of the camera gear is somewhere around INR 9 lakhs. The camera gear was sold just for INR 6500 during the prime day sale. As soon as this information leaked, people flooded the camera section of the online shopping platform to purchase cameras and camera equipment of leading brands like Sony, Canon, Fujifilm, and Nikon and so on.

The equipment in question is the Canon EF 800 lens which normally sells around INR 9 lakhs. It’s beyond understanding how any company can sell something so expensive at nearly 99% discount. Soon Amazon came to know about the glitch and was corrected. However, the buyers had enough time to purchase the products.

Some users were curious to know whether the products would be actually delivered or not because it was a glitch and Amazon might as well cancel those orders. This isn’t likely to happen as the users have received their products. Similar stories circled the internet throughout Prime Day. Another user took to Reddit to share his excitement after ordering a $3000 camera for just $95. Another user posted that they got camera gear worth $16,000 for just $800 on Amazon Prime Day.

It looks like the glitch only affected the camera section of the online shopping platform. 2019’s prime day was memorable for some users but Jeff Bezos and Amazon would really like to forget it. Users took to social media to thank Bezos after the blunder.
