Amit Shah: The Mastermind behind the success of Bhartiya Janta Party
Amit Shah the President of Bhartiya Janta Party has really got some guts to help BJP in making the “people’s party” & achieving a sweeping victory in Assembly Elections in many states across the country especially in Uttar Pradesh(U.P). Amit Shah has earlier been an active leader in the politics in Gujarat and served as MLA from Sarkhej and Naranpura before assuming the leadership in the party. Under his leadership, in 2014, BJP achieved a massive success in the States of Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Haryana and Assam. Shah was a share broker who later joined RSS as a devotee and used to help RSS and BJP during election times. It was in 2002 when he got his first legislative seat. Shah was appointed the General Secretary of the party in May, 2013. Thereafter he started working on strengthening the foundation of BJP in various States. He himself travelled to almost every village of U.P. by rail and road. By interacting with MLA’s and MP’s of the State he tried to figure out the actual cause behind the loss of seats in the state. Students in various colleges and youth were made the main focus to spread the development agenda of Modi wave. He identified the dark zones in the grounds of U.P. where means of communication and media were missing and such zones were provided with LCDs to increase interactions among masses with regard to Modi’s agenda.
Shah is the major strategist in making BJP win in assembly elections (U.P., Uttrakhand). He wisely did the task of choosing the candidates at the time of ticket distribution. Except for eight seats where stalwarts like Modi, Hema Malini were to fight elections, he made it a pre-requisite that a candidate must be a resident of that area. He dared to enter the zones where the Yadavs, Jatavs or the Muslim community were in prominence. He was able to gather the support of Muslims even for his Saffron party. Amit Shah has registered his name in the minds of people not only by his strategies but by an effective way of implementation also. Kudos to the mastermind!!!!
