Bedi joined the managing director in mid 2016 and took charge of India business from Kirthiga Reddy who shifted to the company’s headquarters in Menlo Park,USA. Before joining Facebook, Bedi was Managing Director of the South Asia region at Adobe.
As per the media source, Bedi has another entrepreneurial plans ahead. Meanwhile Sandeep Bhushan has been appointed as the interim managing director. It is worth considering that Facebook India has the second largest user base for Facebook in all around the world after United States. In the most recent event Facebook was trending when it had launched a feature to support blood donation in India.
“This will first be available on Android and mobile web, as these are the most widely-used platforms in India,” said Facebook’s Health Product Manager Hema Budaraju and Ritesh Mehta, Head of Programmes in South Asia.

In this regards On December 19, 2013 Zuckerberg announced to donate 18 million Facebook shares to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, In result of that this donation was acknowledged as the biggest charity on public domain for 2013.
