Mukesh Ambani’s darling daughter, Isha Ambani gets engaged to Anand Piramal of Piramal Group

The Reliance industries titan Mukesh Ambani’s doting daughter, Isha Ambani will soon be tying the holy knot with her longtime friend Anand Piramal of the Piramal group.

Anand proposed to Isha, during their weekend visit at a temple in Mahabaleshwar. The adoring couple then relished their special moment with their parents and their other heirs and assigns.

A date for the wedding is yet to be declared but it is certain to happen by the end of this year and prior to that of Isha’s twin brother, Akash Ambani and his fiance Shloka Mehta.

Anand is a Harvard University School graduate, who is presently working as an executive director of the Primal Enterprises. He initiated two start-ups following the completion of his Business school. One tagged Piramal eSwasthya, a healthcare startup and the second being Piramal Realty which is a real-estate set-up. Both the start-ups from an essential part to their investment in the $4 billion family-run motley, Parimal Enterprises.

Anand portrayed a hearty acknowledgment to his success by thanking Mukesh Ambani for encouraging him to become an entrepreneur via speaking at an occasion in Mumbai, “I asked him, whether I should get into consulting or banking? He told me, ‘Being a consultant is like watching cricket or commentating about cricket while being an entrepreneur is like playing cricket. You can’t learn how to play cricket by commentating. If you want to do something, be an entrepreneur in the long term and start now’.”

Anand pulls a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School. Anand has also attained the laurel of becoming the youngest President of the Indian Merchant Chamber — Youth Wing.

Isha, on the other hand, is on the boards of Reliance Jio and Reliance Retail. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and South Asian Studies from Yale University and is in the process of completing her Masters by June in Business Administration program from the Graduate School of Business from Stanford.
