Phasing the equilibrium at a gentle pace, India has now set to pitch in a new way in order to dodge the traffic congestion in the country.

The Union Minister of road transport and highways, Nitin Gadkari revealed that a new system will soon be implemented, where the drivers need not stop, blocking the roads when passing through the toll plaza as the toll fee will soon be automatically deducted from the people’s account.

He also revealed that this system is already in action in South Korea, which gave the Union Minister the idea of developing it in our own country. He also revealed that the Prime Minister of Korea will soon be showing his presence in India in May and a MoU will be signed to introduce the similar system here. He believed that this will certainly help to soothe the heavy traffic flow in the country.

Gadkari also said, “The toll plazas, especially the ones in metro cities, are responsible for traffic congestion. That is why we have taken this decision,” Gadkari said.

He also focused on the promotion of the public transportation in Gurugram and revealed that the work on Metrino India’s first pod taxi project will also mark its initiation in almost a month  and-a-half in between Dhaula Kuan, Delhi and Manesar.

Tenders have also been acquired from the three companies, which will be assessed, succeeding its implementation soon.

He later on also dented upon the issues relating to the double-decker buses plying on Delhi-Chandigarh and Delhi-Jaipur roads, which after the completion will also have the facility of on-board-on-road meal services as well, just like the ones we enjoy in flights.
