Seeing England’s record over the years, this would be just the type of match that the host would stuff up just like the night when Netherlands beat them at Lord’s in a World cup T20 clash in year 2009 but not this time. England is bursting with confidence and playing very nice and fluently in recent times that is rarely associated with the 3 Lions. Chris Woakes, is a big arsenal in Joe Root’s squad this ICC Champions trophy 2017. The Poms has five of their six highest scores in ODIs since the end of the World Cup in Australia in March 2015 including a world record 3-444 against Pakistan. The Captain Eoin Morgan rallies his men to show all-out attack based on a batting line-up that has all-rounders. Leg-spinner Adil Rashid who is new in the England squad will be batting at No.9. Adil Rashid has 10 first class centuries in his name. A good record for the Leg-spinner

The Strength of England is in its batting. Bangladesh is the team on the rise. Bangladesh is ranked at No.6 in the ICC Rankings, however it would be a surprise if England doesn’t post a score over three hundred. Anything beyond 300 will be too much for the Bangladesh at The Oval. Forecast of temperature in London is Max 25C. Bangladesh’s best batsman is their opener Tamim Iqbal. Tamim Iqbal has scored most ODI runs in both 2016 and 2017 for Bangladesh. Fast Bowler Mustafizur Rahman has taken 31 ODI wickets against the top eight teams since the 2015 World Cup. Mustafizur Rahman led Bangladesh’s bowling attack with 7 wickets in 3 innings during the tri-nations series against the teams Ireland and New Zealand.

There are few bowlers that are capable of taking the honor of most wickets in this year’s ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Bowlers David Willey and Jake Ball are not likely to play and seamer Ben Stokes will bowl little to protect his sore left knee. Moeen Ali has taken 4 wickets in eight ODIs this year. He is not a big enough wicket-taker. That leaves bowlers Liam Plunkett, Mark Wood, Chris Woakes and Adil Rasheed in their squad. Ben Stokes is under an injury cloud but is expected to play the opening match. So this year’s ICC Champions Trophy 2017 will likely be in favour of the English unless something happens which the Tigers are very capable of.
