The title chasers PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth have raced the first hurdle, advancing towards the second one in the famous French Open Super Series.
Srikanth who has brought the laurels to the country, by holding the third title of the season at the recently held Demark Open Super Series has again come up with the zeal by beating its opponent Germany’s Fabian Roth by 0-3.
Holding the position of 8th in the world, he will be facing Hong Kong’s Wong Wing Ki Vincent, whom he has already beaten last week to en route his esteemed title.
Sindhu on the other hand has hailed high too this year, with the trophy of two titles and one world championship. She was facing Spain’s Beatriz Corrales 21-19 21-18 to set a fray with Japan’s Sayaka Takahashi.
The Men’s double team of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty too had the started the game in their favor by beating off France’s Bastian Kersaudy and Julien Maio 21-12 21-14 within 30 minutes.
They will be facing Denmark’s sixth seed Mads Conrad-Petersen and Mads Pieler Kolding next.
