A NEW PITCH FOR MS DHONI: Army Approved His Posting in Kashmir
MS Dhoni is a true patriot and there is no doubt he still has the potential to serve the nation. We wanted to Dhoni to continue serving the nation and he is doing the same, but this time, it’s a different pitch. He would not visit the West Indies, but continue to serve the nation on the borders of Jammu & Kashmir. All of us are aware how the Indian Army had offered him the position of Lieutenant Colonel in 2011, which is a great honor for any Indian, and he is the second cricketer who got this position after the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev.
That is why there were suppositions of MS Dhoni joining the army were made after India lost the World Cup, but now it is confirmed that MS would guard the Kashmir border for 15 days as he is not accompanying the national team for the West Indies Tour. Reports say that it was after his own request that the army headquarters have approved his 15-day training in Kashmir where he would be a part of the troops and continue his duties of patrolling.
