Virat Kohli himself is a self disciplined man; recently he had a fiery controversial issue with a reporter who had asked his on-field behaviour during a press conference after India’s Test series loss to New Zealand on Monday (02.03.2020). Virat was already upset with the test match loss, India lost the second Test in Christchurch by seven wickets, in this way Indian team had lost the two-match Test series 2-0 to the hosts.
After India’s loss, Virat Kohli in a press conference admitted that his team had been completely outplayed but lost his control at a journalist who asked if his on-field behaviour was inappropriate as an Indian captain. This was asked as, Virat Kohli was seen on camera giving his opposite number Kane Williamson an animated send-off in the first innings and allegedly also screamed an obscenity at a group of New Zealand supporters on Sunday (01.03.2020).

The reporter had asked “Virat, what was your reaction to the behaviour in the field yesterday, swearing at (Kane) Williamson when he was out, swearing at the crowd. As an Indian captain, doesn’t he think he needs to set a better example on the field?”
On asking this, he fired back at the journalist and said-
Kohli said, you need to find out exactly what happened and then come with a better question. It is better to come here with full knowledge and keeping half details of what happened, is no use to discuss on controversial issues. And on the top of that, if you are interested to create controversy, then this is not the right place for that. He said, he had already spoken to the match referee and he had no issues with what had happened.
In the consecutive two Tests, on traditional New Zealand green wickets, India managed scores of 165, 191, 242 and 124. Virat Kohli himself, too failed to fire ending up with scores of 2, 19, 3 and 14 in his four innings.
New Zealand are now victorious in their last 13 home Tests, winning nine of them, and in the past decade their record as hosts is played 39, won 20, drawn 13 and lost five.
India started the day at 90 for six and was all out for 124, before New Zealand chased down the required 132 to win for the loss of three wickets in 36 overs.
