Sometimes despite our endless efforts and countless trials, we fail to accomplish what we desire to attain, but little we understand the importance to be determined till the success is achieved. Who knows if the point where you are planning to quit, may be the final hurdle towards your desired mile stone!
Here is a list of people who did not give up, irrespective of the magnitude of misfortune befalling upon them!!
Oprah Winfrey (Media proprietor):
She has dealt a lot in her life. Her life has always been filled with sacks of hurdles. Yet she has NEVER GAVE UP! and look where she is now! At an early stage she was being criticized about her weight, about her sexuality. Later in life, she was also a victim of sexual assault by her own uncle, cousin and a family friend which got her pregnant at the age of 14. She also gave birth but sadly the child passed away two weeks later. But she survived through her perseverance thus, later on finishing her high school by honors, earning a full scholarship to college and working her way up through the ranks of television, from a local network anchor in Nashville to an international superstar, thus, creating her OWN network. What would have happened if she wouldn’t have summoned enough courage to move on!
Colonel sanders (business man):
He was known to be fired from a lot of jobs throughout his career before he started cooking his chicken along a roadside Shell service in 1930. He was 40 years old and was in depression. His station was devoid of the restaurant and hence, he served his customers in his personal space. Over the next 10 years he devoted his time in perfecting his recipe and moving to bigger locations. He even received appraisal from the media by food critic Duncan Hines. When he came into the Kentucky town, due to the increased traffic at his place, he was forced to close down his business and thus retire. Worried about how he would manage with $105 monthly pension, he started looking for the restaurants who would franchise his secret recipe. He was almost rejected 1,000 times before finding his first partner. Today he is a very popular brand across the globe. It was worth all his inevitable struggle. Just imagine if he would have given up in his early period!!
Evgeny Smirnoff (dancer):
There’s nothing painful for a dancer than to loose his ability to dance in a car accident. But he still kept pursuing his passion. He is a Russian break dance Champion, who learnt to dance from scratch after this incident. One of the dance shows portrayed this as a true human spirit, which it actually is and it also depicted that its incredibly cool to dance even without a leg!
Sylvester Stallone (actor):
Do you think just your beauty defines your ability to become an actor? Then keep aside your shallow mind and open your eyes wide to the fact that Sylvester Stallone had birth trauma, his lower left side of the face is paralyzed, his mouth is slightly distorted, and he has a partly paralyzed tongue too(that’s why he has a little bit slurred speech). Did this stop him to reach the apex? No!
Chantelle Brown Young (Model):
Since her childhood, she has skin pigmentation problem called ‘vitiligo’. Having a sexually appealing body and an amazing face, she boldly decided to take transform this disadvantage into her advantage and today she is a well known model. “There are dark-skinned and white-skinned people, and I perfectly fit both categories,” Chantelle said.
