Akshay Kumar starrer Good Newwz released on 27th December has started well as the box office news states that the movie collected approximately 18 crores on its opening day. Good Newwz movie reviews have been highly in its favor in Delhi NCR. While the response was slow in east Punjab, the film made a ‘fantastic’ entry into the halls of Delhi and UP having crossed the net mark of Rs 4 crore. Challenging Salman Khan’s latest release Dabangg 3 which could make a net collection of only 3 crores, Good Newwz movie reviews have developed higher expectations from the movie in terms of collection and are expected to beat the mark set by the Dabangg series.
Initially, Good Newwz movie reviews have fared much better than Akshay Kumar’s previous movies. After the release of Housefull 4 and its downfall, Good Newwz movie reviews were expected to fall as the public seemed quite disappointed with Akshay Kumar’s performance. However, the reports currently say that the movie might be Akshay Kumar’s biggest opener ever.
Hindustan Times, in its Good Newwz movie reviews, says that the movie brings up a general problem faced by couples and in these aspects, the movie sough to hit the right spot, “Debut director Raj Mehta deals with a rather serious subject of two couples opting for IVF (In-vitro Fertilisation) with a generous mix of comedy and emotions. An urban comedy with its heart in the right place, Good Newwz just hits the right spot.” Trade analyst Girish Johar claimed that the film would earn 20 crores on its opening day even though Dabangg 3 was still in demand. Though his analysis was not completely accurate, the movie still managed to reach close to the bar. Johar’s Good Newwz movie reviews state that the multi starrer had very strong leading roles and was promoted well across India. He said “The film has been promoted well across India. The people have liked the trailer. It is a multi-starrer with Akshay, who is already on top and brings a great variety to his work, and Kareena, who is coming after a long time and has a fan following of her own. Kiara and Diljit are also very strong. The songs are hit among the audience and it is also a solo release. Everything looks positive and it should turn out to be good news in itself.”
