In the league among the top actresses, she alsomade her small screen debut by judging the famous reality show Dance India Dance. But what grabbedher the headlines was the fact thatshe made herself the highest paid Indian actress on TV. Her fans were unable to believe the number of zeros in her fees.
Though in her past encounters with media, without revealing her fees, she claimed that she is getting paid what she deserves as TV requires more dedication from an artist. But the show revealed that she has charged 3 crores.

(Dance India Dance) Though her fans are still in a shock, her step not only shows how significant these stars are but also proves that the talented female actresses of the industry are now ready to charge such a huge amount without feeling that they should not match out with the male actors who have charged the same and even more amount for reality shows. Male superstars like Salman Khan apparently, according to reports, charged between 12 to 14 crores for one episode of ‘Big Boss’ which is approximately 3 times more the amount charged by Bebo.
Since Salman Khan has been in the show for the past 10 seasons, his popularityhas increased and people want to see him on TV. Similarly, Kareena is also liked by people and this is just a startup for her. Focusing on the fact that she is carrying her other projects along with the reality show, the charges of the actress are expected to rise in the future.
Breaking the trend of entering the reality shows after ending their film careers and also filling the gap between the big-screen actors and reality shows, not only Kareena but the other actors like Jacqueline Fernandez and ShahidKapoor who had judged ‘JhalakDikhhlaJaa’ or SonakshiSinha, judge of ‘NachBaliye’ season 8, the active members of Bollywood, have stolen the public eye. In spite of the fact that these actors charged between 1 to 1.5crore per episode and Bebo has tripled her rates, it seems fair on part of the currently hot ‘Pay Parity’ issue.
The TV has become the second earning spot for the silver screen actors and it is setting an example that there is no disparity between the small screen and silver screen and if there are talents and demand for stardom then an actor is prominent on every medium.
