Sunil Grover to play lead opposite this Dangal actress in Vishal Bhardwaj’s film

Remember the notorious Gutthi from Comedy Nights with Kapil and Dr Mashoor Gulati from The Kapil Sharma show and how he would make us burst out laughing through his mind-blowing acting? Well, seems like the hard work has paid off as he has been hitched on to work in Vishal Bharadwaj’s next movie, Chhuriyaan as a lead actor, which is a female pivoted film.

The female leads of the movie are the Dangal actress Sanya Malhotra and the other Radhika Manan, who has acclaimed immense fame through Ekta Kapoor’s aired soap, Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi. They will be seen as sisters, whose lives alter after getting married in this National award-winning filmmaker’s comedy-drama.

The film also has another renowned actor Vijay Raaz, who was last seen in Akshat Verma’s Kaalakandi and who was also seen in Vishal Bharadwaj’s 2014 production, “Dedh Ishqiya”, four years ago. He will be seen playing the female lead’s father in the movie.

“I am very happy to have Sunil Grover and Vijay Raaz as the two unconventional male leads of my film. Sunil plays a crucial and major part and I was surprised to know what a big star he is,” Vishal told Mirror. He also revealed that despite knowing about Sunil Grover’s exceptional acting skills, he was of the thought that his craze was more amplified in the towns, which was, however, falsified when his office youngsters, as well as seniors, were very excited for his arrival.

Sunil Grover is a 40-year old, Haryana Hailed talent, who was dug out by the late critic, Jaspal Bhatti, during his theatre degree. He made his very first debut in Ajay Devgan-Kajol’s film Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha in 1998 as a barber. He was later on even seen in the movies The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Baaghi, Gajini and Gabbar is back.

“He is a wonderful actor and person. I have noticed that everyone is eager to interact with him and now I am eager to shoot a great part with him too,” rejoiced Vishal.

The movie is all set to be shot in the village of Raunsi, by the month end. The female co-stars are known to put on some extra 10-12kgs, which they have already engrossed themselves into. This will be followed by the remaining shoot to be held in Mount Abu, later this year.

Vishal also proudly reveals, “All the actors are already learning a beautiful Rajasthani dialect for their roles. Since the narrative has a lot of scope for music, I am working on a five-six song album, packed with folklore and Rajasthani flavour. There will also be a very interesting dance number that I am looking forward to the film,”
