Travelling has been always one’s choice and prefers to travel to those places which one tries to explore. Around the globe, there are very attractive places but before traveling one should explore the visiting country very well. One should know all the positive and negative points of the country such that one remains over vigilant and is in a position to face all the ambiguities.
But there are a few countries which one should avoid visiting at the cost of health. These countries have been stereotyped for the outbreak of some of the other kinds of severe health problems, which later one has to pay badly for it and sometimes demands the life of one.
Looking at the kind of health problems existing in the countries around the globe, travelers have been alarmed about the current health issues that would impact their health depending on the popularity of the country’s outbreak.
World Health Organization has divided some of the countries which are frequently prone to outbreak of deadly diseases into three categories depending on the epidemic of global emergency declaration.

Categorization of Health Alarming Warnings
1. Warning Level 3 (Red): This alarms us to avoid all non-essential travel to this remarkable destination. Currently, China and Venezuela are the two countries of high risk to travelers and no precautions are available to protect against the identified increased risk.
2. Alert Level 2 (Yellow): Countries like Congo, Japan, Africa, Nigeria, and a few Asian countries. It is advised to Practice enhanced precautions for these destinations.
3. Watch Level 1 (Green): In these countries, one has to Practice usual precautions. They are the green mark destinations on the map. The Travel Health department has given instructions that one should remain up-to-date with all recommended vaccines and be familiar with the mosquito repellents’.
First Category with Warning Level 3 (Red) High Risks to Travellers
❒ Health Warning Travel Destination 1 Wuhan, China
The health emergency was declared in January 2020, due to the outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a coronavirus which is pandemic.
- Though Chinese officials have all the activities within and out of Wuhan and other cities in Hubei province, including buses, subways, trains, and the international airport. Not only Wuhan other locations in China are also getting affected.
- The main sufferers at risk are older adults and people with underlying health conditions.
❒ Health Warning Travel Destination 2 Venezuela
The country is experiencing outbreaks of infectious diseases, and adequate health care is currently not available in most of the countries.
If one needs to travel to Venezuela, then protect the self by following the CDC’s recommendations. There medical infrastructure in Venezuela is not well developed. Food, water, electricity, medicine, and medical supplies are in shortages which have contributed to an increasing humanitarian crisis affecting much of the country. Infectious diseases are on the rise, and several large outbreaks have been occurring in the past:
- 1,000 confirmed cases of measles, including more than 50 deaths, have been reported in 9 states last year.
- 1,600 suspected cases of diphtheria, which included 140 deaths, have been reported in 22 states. In the past 2 years.
- Over 400,000 cases of malaria were reported in 2017.

❒ Health Warning Travel Destination 3 Democratic Republic of the Congo
In the Democratic Republic of the Congo January 03, 2020, there was an outbreak of Ebola in the North Kivu (Kivu Nord) and Ituri provinces in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
- Currently, there is an outbreak of Ebola in the South Kivu (Kivu Sud), North Kivu (Kivu Nord), and Ituri provinces in the northeastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
- Travelers visiting this area could be infected with Ebola if they come into contact with an infected person’s blood or other body fluids.
- If travelers develop fever, muscle pain, sore throat, diarrhea, weakness, vomiting, stomach pain, or unexplained bleeding or bruising during or after travel then they should approach medical care immediately.
- CDC has provided tight recommendations to ensure workers with potential occupational exposure to Ebola are healthy when they return to the United States.
❒ Health Warning Travel Destination 4 Japan
There is an outbreak of rubella in Japan.
- Travelers visiting Japan should make sure they are vaccinated against rubella with the MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccine before traveling.
- Rubella disease is very dangerous for a pregnant woman and her developing baby. Pregnant women if not protected against rubella through either vaccination or previous rubella infection should avoid traveling to Japan during this outbreak.
- Health departments in Japan have reported the outbreak of rubella in the Kanto region (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, and Saitama).

Polio cases have been spread in some of the Asian countries came into highlights on January 03, 2020; there have been observed polio outbreaks in several countries in Asia. CDC recommends that all travelers must be vaccinated fully against polio before traveling to these countries.
Polio outbreaks in several Asian countries have been observed like-
- Afghanistan
- Burma (Myanmar)
- China
- Indonesia
- Malaysia
- Pakistan
- Papua New Guinea
- The Philippines
CDC recommended that all travelers visiting these countries must be vaccinated fully against polio.
Before traveling to these healths warned countries, adults should complete their routine polio vaccine series and children should be given a single, lifetime adult booster dose of polio vaccine.

Polio cases were also highly observed in Africa, January 03, 2020. The report has come forward that the polio outbreaks in several countries in Africa have come into notice. CDC recommended that all travelers coming to these countries should be fully vaccinated against polio.

- A large outbreak of yellow fever in Nigeria began in September 2017. The outbreak got spread throughout the country. The Nigerian Ministry of Health has observed that the cases of Yellow Fever have been observed in all its 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
- Travelers going to Nigeria should get vaccinated against yellow fever at least 10 days before the travel and should take all the precautions to protect from mosquito bites while staying there.
- The people who had never gone for vaccination against yellow fever should avoid traveling to Nigeria during the outbreak of this fever.

No doubt Benin is a worth seeing place but on January 28, 2020, there appeared an outbreak of the meningococcal disease in northwest Benin, this disease is a rare but serious bacterial infection. In this, the membranes that cover the brain and spinal cord become inflamed. Earlier there was also the outbreak of Monkeypox in Nigeria on January 07, 2020.

In Ethiopia on January 03, 2020, there was an outbreak of chikungunya. One can protect self against chikungunya disease by preventing mosquito bites.

XDR Typhoid Fever in Pakistan was reported on January 03, 2020, there is an ongoing outbreak of extensively drug-resistant (XDR) typhoid fever in Pakistan. Extensively drug-resistant infections do not respond to most antibiotics.

There came across an ongoing outbreak of monkeypox, which is similar to smallpox but with big size blisters, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), on January 03, 2020.

Dengue is at a risk in many parts of Central and South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Some of the South American countries have reported increased numbers of cases of Dengue. Travelers to the Americas can protect themselves by preventing mosquito bites.
