If you love antique ambience, Hauz khas village is the perfect destination for you. Its medieval buildings are built around a reservoir. There are several remains of Islamic architecture which are roughly blotted of urban culture. The village has retained old charm of the place and enhanced an aesthetic appeal via its well maintained parks, walkways and quickry places.

2) National Zoological park (8 kilometres from City Centre)

Situated near the old fort in Delhi, the park was established in 1959. It has been a favourite weekend spot for children and adults. The zoo has all kinds of animals and birds and the greenery of the place is its most attractive feature. Earlier, it was known as Delhi Zoo until 1982. It was renamed when the idea of making it a model zoo of country came up.

3) Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple (8 kilometres from City Center)

Sitting near the bank of river Yamuna, the temple is an epitome of Indian spirituality, architecture and culture. It is dedicated to lord Swaminarayan. It has made it to Guinness Book of World Records as the World’s Largest Comprehensive Hindu Temple.

Dedicated to the Baha’i faith, the magnificent architecture of the temple unfolds in shape of a Lotus. It is one of the most visited establishments in the world. The concept of this design came from Canadian architect Fariborz Sahba and the structure was completed in 1986. There are seven Baha’i house of worship in the world and lotus temple is one of them.

5) Waste to Wonder Park (9 kilometres from City Centre)

Created of industrial waste, this park is a new addition to Delhi’s list of attractive places. It features replicas of the seven wonders of the world. Inaugurated by Rajiv Gandhi Smriti Van, the place is easy to visit as it is located near Nizammudin metro station.
