The-Infantry-Day

Indian army stands at the second position in the world following China in its ranking. Our esteemed army’s never ending sacrifices is the reason, we live, enjoy, sleep, party and roam around peacefully and freely in our country. They have been sworn to their deaths to protect our Nation selflessly.

To monumentalize the sacrifices made by the Indian Army’s infantry against our neighbor and oldest known rival Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in 1947, we observe the INFANTRY DAY on 27th October every year. This has been the first infantry action by the Indian army post Independence. This day also marks the exceptional valiance, courage and an undeterred dedicated service to the Nation.

On this day, there were many bold actions taken against the Pakistan’s army supported tribals to trammel them for their persevere atrocious planning to invade Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). The Indian army was constantly airlifted from the capital city Delhi and air dropped to the Srinagar, to protect the supremacy and the territorial integrity of the Nation.

This operation was undertaken after the immediate orders of then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Lal Nehru and after Maharaja Hari Singh, the ruler of princely state of J&K, who signed Instrument of Accession on 26 October 1947 to accede or merge state with India and it has been since then, that Pakistan has been trying to include J&K in its territory, which has even triggered many serious wars in the past, following many more martyr’s deaths and J&K agonizing for being considered as the land of frequent wars shedding oodles of blood. Alas!!

ANYWAYS! Let’s hope for the best for J&K, as efforts are being taken by the MODI GOVERNMENT to relieve the kashmiris persistent complaints for not supporting or taking essential measures required for their peace, nor providing them with with proper facilities during any misfortune.

You are a part of our nation dear, KASHMIR. I know it’s really difficult but please be a little more patient!!

In annex, Not all have these heroic guts to live for the others, risking the injection of those rival’s stenching bullets into one’s body, with a smile on their faces to be marked as martyrs of the Nation.

So, today, if you have anyone in Indian army living by near to you, then either personally thank them else, just close your eyes and thank these generous souls for their devoted sacrifices.
