A big news for all the McDonald lovers is here. The McDonald’s outlet which were shut down due to the discontinuation of services by the logistics partners will soon re-open by the weekend, said Vikram Bakshi.

The logistics partner Radhakrishna Foodland laid off its supply services after which all the outlet in the east and north Delhi were forced to shut down. All the outlets were shut down last year on December 25th. The news hit the people and it came as a jolt to everyone. The services were discontinued owing to the alleged reduction in volume and non-payment of certain dues, among others. However, Vikram Bakshi has denied all the claims and allegations, saying that Radhakrishna Foodland was attempting to mar the business and there is no nonpayment.

Bakshi has drawn in new logistics vendor ColdEX to restart supply to the outlets which were affected by the discontinuation.

“Right now 64 of them have been re-opened and by the end of this week, all the 84, which were temporarily hit, will resume operation,” Bakshi told PTI. Bakshi expressed his concern over the lapses in food quality and the new distribution centre is not approved by it. He had earlier stated that US was shunning the food quality concerns raised by him for the past four years.

Both the parties are fighting the case at various courts. Bakshi was reinstated to the position of MD of Connaught Plaza Restaurants (CPRL) by National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) from which he was drummed out in 2013.

The London Court of International Arbitration(LCIA) has asked Vikram Bakshi to sell his stake in the JV firm CPRL to McDonald’s, which is pending at the Delhi High Court, in the meantime.
