Aarushi murder case Talwars to walk free today, detailed order awaited

The once most raved about case “AARUSHI MURDER CASE” has come to a closing point after whooping nine years of trial, with the Allahabad high court exonerating the jailed dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, releasing them of the charges of killing their daughter due to lack of the clinching evidence. Thus, possibly believing that an outsider could have committed the crime.

“The chain of evidence is not sufficient. The golden rule and cardinal principle injustice are if there is only circumstantial evidence, a benefit of the doubt goes to the accused,” a bench of Justices B K Narayana and A K Mishra said while pronouncing the ‘not guilty’ verdict in a packed courtroom.

The couple was convicted of the murder and was sentenced to life imprisonment in November 2013, by special CBI court. Despite their continuous challenging against the CBI court of their beliefs and pointing out the loopholes in their trial court verdict, they persistently kept onto their words of letting go of the “real killers”.

On January 9th, 2017, the HC kept its decision reserved and hence began to rehear the appeal on August 1st, 2017, as it wanted the CBI to enlighten on the internet router, which was active during the night of the incidence.

Any evidence or situation, in relevance to that case, has put up with nothing but more commotion at every step.

The initial investigation team, under joint director Arun Kumar, was after the three suspects- Talwar’s compounder Krishna, and Rajkumar and Vijay Mandal, domestic servants in the neighborhood. Depending on the scientific and medical researchers, they held the three suspected guilty, thus giving a clean chit to the Talwar’s, but failed to file it in charge sheet without any proper evidence.

In September 2009, there have even been words of swapping Aarushi’s medical reports, due to which the case was opened up again, with a new investigation team in February 2010.It followed with the rechecking of all the medical reports, conducting narco tests on the Talwars, hence, decided to go after the Talwar’s yet again.

The SP AGL Kaul, decided to file a charge sheet against the Talwar’s on December 2010, when his senior advised a closure report which was filed on December 29, 2010. In this, there was evidence against the Talwar’s along with documents, forensic reports and statements of 84 witnesses.

In counter, the couple protested the closure but was shocked with the rejection by the special CBI judge and finally ordered a trial of the parents as accused.

Hence, finally, they are being acquitted of the charges today! Dramatic twists to this case have led it to a never-ending resolution!
