Are you planning to buy crackers legally? Well, to make it happen you need travel approximately 140km to 200km outside the banned restrictions of Delhi-NCR such as Gurgaon, Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad and its border.

It means that you need to spend almost 6 to 8 hours in traveling to get these firecrackers with fuel and other expense.

People who reside in Delhi-NCR have to travel down Aligarh (140km), Hissar (172km), Ambala (202km), Bijnor (163km) Moradabad (180km), Alwar (158km) or Bijnor (163km) to buy firecrackers legally.

The Honorable Supreme Court has restored the judgment to suspend the sale of a firecracker in Delhi NCR till November 1, 2017, in a preliminary action to eliminate the harmful smoke that is consistently degrading the air quality. The ban will be implemented in Delhi-NCR. Apart from Delhi, the NCR includes Faridabad, Charkhi Dadri, Jind, Panipat, Sonepat, districts of Gurgaon, Mahendragarh, Palwal, Mewat, Rohtak, Jhajjhar, Karnal, Rewari and Bhiwani in Haryana.

The Supreme Court on Monday suspended the sale of firecrackers in Delhi and NCR till November 1, 2017, in a bid to test whether a Deepavali without firecrackers this year will have a “positive effect” on the health of citizens and a steadily deteriorating air quality.

In UP the list of NCR as follows the districts of Muzaffarnagar, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Meerut, Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, and Baghpat.

Due to this ban on Delhi and 21 Districts of Delhi NCR including Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, people will face a problem if they want to buy firecrackers they have to travel from one territory border to another. Meanwhile, the administration is ready to forcefully implement the order.

Residents and environment specialist are cheering up this ban while firecrackers are upset with this move.

It is estimated that that annual turnover of firecracker business in Gurgaon is between 15-20 crore and traders are in the dilemma as they already paid an advance amount to the suppliers.

The local traders are largely upset because this decision affects badly in their business and they already made advancement to the suppliers. A cracker trader Amit Nagpal said” What will happen as we have given advance payment to suppliers and we have the huge stock of crackers, now what will I do” he added.

Though it is good for the environment it has brought disappointment on local traders. People are also saying that besides banning that crackers court should intervene on pollution made by vehicles. One section of people is also not happy with the decision as they feel discriminated because somehow this verdict is restricting their right to celebrate Deepawali on their way. They claimed why Only the festivals of Hindu’s are targeted every time.
