Car Fell Into Canal Due To Fog: 6 Deceased

The fog had taken the lives of six people on Sunday (29.12.2019). The dead declared were two minors and four adults. Due to dense fog, the car slipped off the road and fell into a canal in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida, said by police officials. Five other people in the car had severe injuries in the incident that took place around 11.30 pm on Sunday.

In all 11 people were boarded in the Maruti Ertiga. As the visibility was very poor on Sunday at 11.30 pm, the car fell into the Kherli canal in the Dankaur area. All the 11 people were immediately taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared six of them dead out of 11 occupants, the remaining five are undergoing treatment said by a police spokesperson.

According to the police, there was one more car associated with the  Ertiga and all the occupants were residents of Sambhal district who were on their way to Delhi.

The departed souls have been identified as:

  1. Mahesh (35),
  2. Kishan Lal (50),
  3. Naresh (17),
  4. Ram Khiladi (75),
  5. Mallu (12) and
  6. Netrapal (40), they said.
