Finally, the CAB bill has been signed by the president and it has become a law in India, and the process ahead with this concept will be legal in India. But the oppositions are still with their tantrums and disagree with the CAB bill.  Out of these opponents, the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is continuously speaking against the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) and National Register of Citizens (NRC), saying that she’ll never allow the schemes in West Bengal to run as long as TMC is in power.

For this General Secretary in-charge of the state, Kailash Vijayvargiya of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday counter replied and said if it is so, then for them Modi government in the Centre would grant citizenship to the refugees from three neighbouring nations.

But the fact is that as the Parliament has passed legislation (Citizenship Amendment Bill). Now it becomes the responsibility of the state government to respect the legislation (CAB) and grant citizenship to the refugees. On the contrary to it, if the state government fails to perform its responsibility, moreover Mamata Banerjee out of her ego tries to disobey the law and do not permit them the right to citizenship, the Centre will definitely call upon its powers to grant them citizenship said by Vijayvargiya to media persons.

He further revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah will ensure that these people get their right. But Mamata should remember that these personal issues and ego will not take the state forward and also indisciplinary attitude will not run a long way.

Moreover, the Citizenship Amendment Bill is to provide Indian citizenship and not to take away citizenship.  It stands for the Hindus, Jains, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Parsis from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan after six years of residence in India in place of the current compulsory stay of 11 years even if they do not hold any document.

The Bill has already been passed in both houses of the Parliament and signed by the president and is now legal.

The TMC has been opposing the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) from its beginning, in support with West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supreme Mamata Banerjee. She is even claiming that the CAB and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) are the “two sides of the same coin” and the party stands to oppose it till the end.

“Anyways, Refugees Have Got the Justice and It Is the Nature of Opposition to Disagree With Every Good Thing”
