Whenever we plan a tour to any destination within India to rejuvenate ourselves, our primary focus is on the most talked about destinations such as famous hill stations or beaches for say Mussourie, Manali, Ooty, Goa, or some famous places in Kerala. These places attract a number of tourist every year and are somewhat overrated by not so travelling types tourists.

Khajjiar, Himachal Pradesh: Famous as ‘Paharon Ki Mallika’, Khajjiar is situated near Dalhousie and is a home to hills , lakes and meadows. Not many tourists are seen visiting the place but it surely offers a beautiful, calm atmosphere for one’s soul satisfaction. It also provides certain adventure sports like Para-gliding, horse riding and trekking etc.

Tawang, Arunanchal Pradesh: Tawang, situated at an altitude of 3048 mtrs. is home to several monasteries. The place is also famous for the Buddhist as this is the birth place of Dalai Lama. Here , summers are colder and the winters are snow laden.
