Whenever we plan a tour to any destination within India to rejuvenate ourselves, our primary focus is on the most talked about destinations such as famous hill stations or beaches for say Mussourie, Manali, Ooty, Goa, or some famous places in Kerala. These places attract a number of tourist every year and are somewhat overrated by not so travelling types tourists.
To be actually called a traveler, one must go through the map of incredibly rich India for finding some destinations for heart and soul satisfaction. Here I have tried to make an effort to combine some beautiful yet unexplored places of India which surely will pump you up to make a visit to. Let’s have a look at these:-
Khajjiar, Himachal Pradesh: Famous as ‘Paharon Ki Mallika’, Khajjiar is situated near Dalhousie and is a home to hills , lakes and meadows. Not many tourists are seen visiting the place but it surely offers a beautiful, calm atmosphere for one’s soul satisfaction. It also provides certain adventure sports like Para-gliding, horse riding and trekking etc.
Tawang, Arunanchal Pradesh: Tawang, situated at an altitude of 3048 mtrs. is home to several monasteries. The place is also famous for the Buddhist as this is the birth place of Dalai Lama. Here , summers are colder and the winters are snow laden.
Majuli islands on Brahmaputra, Assam,:- They are the world’s ‘Largest Fresh water Islands’ located at a distance of 20 Kms from Jorhat, Assam. October to March are the best times to visit the place and the beauty of islands is at peak during Monsoon when the river is heavy with the flow.
Patan, Gujarat: A place of historical importance with remains of ancient civilizations and a suitable climate to change the routine. It has recently made its place in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Spiti, Himachal Pradesh: A beautiful place and a travelers delight. This splendid beauty of nature with some adventure sports is breathtaking.
Nubra Valley, Jammu & Kashmir: Nubra valley is a cynosure for a travellers eyes . The mesmerizing beauty of the valley is well crafted by the paths of Shyok and Nubra rivers. The valley is situated on the famous Silk Route. A must visit place for a mighty traveler.
Shivasamudram Falls in Karnataka: It’s also a place situated near the banks of Kaveri River which features the natural falls here known as Shivasamudram Falls. The milky pure water flowing through the falls is a delight for everyone’s eyes. The place can be visited throughout the year though one may avoid visiting during rainy season.
Anthargange, Karnataka: Located at a distance of about70 Kms from Bangalore, the place has volcanic rocks and caves formed out of these. It’s a must visit destination for rock climbers, trekkers as they gonna love it.
Bhimbetka, Madhya Pradesh: It is a archeological site which contains the first proof of the human life in the Indian subcontinent. It contains rock painting which are estimated to be about 30,000 years old.
Varkala, Kerala: It’s a paradise of the southern India. Surrounded by grandeur of nature and beaches, also available are some adventure sports like paragliding.
Some are historically important and some are natural beauties. One must unravel the hidden treasures of nature whenever the time is right.
