There are many people whose soul lies in Cricket sport. There is no end to Indian cricket lovers. Amongst these lovers was one cricket superfan Charulata. The Indian cricket team is paying tribute to Charulata, as she is no more and died at the age of 87 years.
It is a very sad demise of Dadi Charulata. A post on her official Instagram account “@cricket.daadi” stated that it is to announce with a heavy heart our beautiful grandmother took her final breath on 13/01/2020 at 5.30 pm. She was a very enjoyable and a sweet little lady, it’s true ‘small things come in small packages’ our Dadi was a delight and she was truly extraordinary.
She was our world. A family member said he wanted to thank all the members of the team for making her feel special last year; she had always loved the attention. A big thank you to @virat.kohli you made her feel extra special, after meeting you and @rohitsharma45. It was the best day of her life (she told us this on multiple occasions). May Lord Shiva bless her soul always, please all say a prayer❤,” the post further stated.
The news of her passing away was soon shared by the official Twitter handles of BCCI and ICC.
Cricket lovers, who had seen the enthusiastic superfan during the high-intensity game, paid tributes to her.
