England has got the perfect start to open their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at the Oval in London.
England beat South Africa by 104 runs in the first match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
Ben Stokes scored the top with 89 followed by skipper Eoin Morgan(57), Jason Roy (54) and Joe Root (51). Though, England had a disastrous start, as Jonny Bairstow lost a wicket to the second ball. Root and Roy, the duo then lifted England innings and added 106 runs for the second wicket. Captain Morgan then took England past 200 after Morgan got rid by Tahir, Stokes powered hosts to 311/8.

Ben Stokes, the all-rounder was the top scorer of the day. He scored 89 in England’s 311 for eight. Stroke held a brilliant catch and took 2 wickets for 12. He took the two wickets in two consecutive balls.
