PV Sindhu has always proved to be one of the most inclined and dedicated talents, representing the nation. She always plays with an overpowering zeal and unabashed attitude against her opponents. India has now been accustomed to her win-win, in almost every match. A lot is expected from a player like her.

She needed a quick win in the quarters of the French open super series, which she attained, paving her way into the top four by clearing off Chinese Chen Yufei 21-14, 21-14 in just 41 minutes.

There were constant jump smashes, which were witnessed by the audience, taking advantage of her height, which proved to be really effective. She always carries herself with no-nonsense body language, with grace and confidence to beat her opponents.

She is slightly built but with the past defeats have learnt to take the light weighted opponent’s peril gravely. Sindhu is known to have lost twice against Chen’s A-game in Malaysia and last week in Denmark, proving that a player like her did not look in the mood at all to loose against her for the third time. This determination led her to defeat her opponent and climb to the top gear.

Sindhu raced to 11-6 with some brutal finishes from the back, and some particularly hustling net kills up front leaving Chen a little moved. The India’s No. 2 player was lifting all the shuttles irrespective of the smash and was hurling right through her in return.

Sindhu seems to have returned to her game like it has been in the early days. She had now learnt to hail the reverses of Chen and Chen has a reliable control over her game, rather than the fancy risk-taking attitude. Despite this, she was beaten by our player.

Paris is however, Sindhu’s favorite paradise, she loves this place including the ambience, the stores and after her maiden Korean crown this year, she is keen on scoring another in Europe. Sindhu’s not lost too many semifinals.

Taipei’s World No 1 Tai Tzu Ying is eloping towards the finals nicely from the other half of the game. This means that it is not going to be a cake walk for Sindhu in the coming next two days.

With Chen, she wanted it and she got it herself!

Well, done Player!
