Apple introduced the new iPod touch on Tuesday that packs the A10 Fusion chip. It is designed to deliver improved game performance and offer Group FaceTime, making it easy to chat with family members, friends or colleagues at the same time.
The design of 7th -generation iPod touch is the same design as the sixth-generation model, including a home button without a Touch ID, A 4-inch Retina display, A Lightning connector, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a single speaker and microphone. The device remains 6.1mm thick and continues to weigh 3.1 ounces.
The battery life of the new iPod touch also remains the same as the 6th – generation that lasts up to eight hours for video playback and 40 hours for music playback. The new iPod touch has the same1.2-megapixel of the front camera and 8-megapixel rear camera as that of the previous iPod touch.
However, the new iPod touch retains the same design, camera, and battery as the previous generation, but it upgrades the internals to use an A10 Fusion processor for running iOS 12.
Greg Joswiak, Apple’s Vice President of Product Marketing says that “We’re making the most affordable iOS device even better with the performance that is twice as fast as before, Group FaceTime and augmented reality starting at just $199.”
The A10 Fusion chip is also found in the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and the sixth-generation iPad.
The statement made by the Apple Vice President also says that new iPod price starts at Rs 18,900 for the 32GB model, Rs 28,900 for the 128GB model and Rs 38, 900 for the 256GB model and is available there through Apple authorized resellers.
“The iPod touch’s ultra-thin and lightweight design have always made it ideal for enjoying games, music and so much more wherever you go,” added Joswiak.
The new iPod comes with 256GB capability, which gives plenty of space to download music for offline listening through Apple Music® or the iTunes Store.

Soon iOS 13 is expected to be a part of iPhone 11, It would have a home screen replacement, a system-wide “dark mode” setting.
In the meantime, Apple is also reportedly set to unveil a range of features and tools on its iOS and MacOS ecosystem.
