To test the massive popularity of the TikTok app in India, a new app launch by Facebook is coming soon referring to a Tiktok rival in India this year. As per the sources, Facebook will present its new Lasso app in India by the month of May. Lasso app was primarily introduced by the US in the year 2018 and came to Mexico in 2019.
The team is accordingly preparing for the launch in India since last year from October. Lasso app by Facebook is a lot equivalent to TikTok and allows consumers to create a short video.
Though Chinese tech companies are putting all efforts, Facebook’s CEO explains to his employees that “TikTok is the foremost consumer internet set up by one of the Chinese tech giants that are doing great across the world”.
TikTok is past Instagram as of now in respect of scale in India according to the “Mark Zuckerberg” CEO of Facebook. Earlier, the reports by The Verge disclosed that Zuckerberg and Facebook have ideas to challenge in countries with TikTok where it is huge, which involves India. And it looks like the time is now in favor of Facebook to enter India.
According to the news by Sensor Tower, TIktok has crossed 1.5 billion downloads so far and is one of the well-liked apps in the world. TikTok was the “fourth most non-gaming downloaded in the country last year, striking 655.8 million distinctive installs”.
The app has been downloaded a roaring 614 million times which is 6% greater than last year. Wait, that’s not it, as TikTok is the third most downloaded non-gaming app this year by now. Whatsapp is at the number 1 with 707.4 million downloads and in the second place is a messenger with 636.2 million installs.
TikTok is in third place right ahead of Facebook and Instagram, with 587 million and 376.2 million installs respectively.
