Every consecutive year, Forbes Magazine ranks the world Highest-Paid Celebrities based on a variety of categories which include musicians, athletes, authors, comedians, actors and other personalities. American rapper Kanye West, Argentine football legend Lionel Messi and English singer Ed Sheeran take up the third, fourth and fifth spot on it’s respectively. Taylor Swift and Kylie Jenner are the only women to reach the Top 10 Highest-paid Entertainers milestone. And Akshay became the only Indian to feature in Forbes’ list of World’s Highest-Paid Celebrities of 2019. He has established his international superstardom status by becoming the only Indian highest-paid entertainer on the list and ranks 33rd on the coveted list.
Taylor is earning mind-boggling $185 million at the age of 29, followed by Kylie, who takes home $170 million Jenner, at the age 21. Following right behind the ladies are Kanye West, Lionel Messi and Ed Sheeran at third, fourth and fifth spot respectively.
The Forbes magazine also identified Akshay Kumar to be the highest earning star in “Bollywood’s with an earning of at least 5-10 million USD (Rs 35-70 crore) per film. On reviewing the earnings from June 2018-June 2019, ) Akshay has beaten international A-listers like Rihanna, Jackie Chan, Bradley Cooper and Scarlett Johansson by having a sum of 65 million USD (Rs 444 crore).
This may even raise more as currently, he has a number of interesting films in the pipeline – Jagan Shakti’s Mission Mangal, Farhad Samji’s Housefull 4, Raj Mehta’s Good News, Raghava Lawrence’s Laxmi Bomb and Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi.
A considerable big amount of Akshay’s earnings also come from his brand endorsement. Currently, he supports more than 20 top brands across categories.
Akshay Kumar is currently desperate for the release of Mission Mangal, which will strike the theatres this Independence Day 15th August 2019. The film circulates around India’s first interplanetary mission – the Mars Orbiter Mission.
Akshay tweeted that he took up “Mission Mangal “especially for his daughter and children of her age to acquaint them with the unbelievable true story of India’s mission to Mars”. He looks forward to that the film “will inspire as much as it will entertain”.
Mission Mangal featured Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen in central roles.
