Vidyut Jammwal’s third film in the sequel of the Commando franchise is having a dream run true at the box office. It is directed by Aditya Datt, starring two actresses in the lead, Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar whereas, Shaitan actor Gulshan Devaiah plays the role of the main contender in the film.
It was released on 29th November 2019 and the film at the end of day 1 could make it earn Rs 4.74 crore on November 29th itself, the film earned Rs 5.64 crore on Saturday and Rs 7.95 crore on Sunday. On Monday it earned Rs 3.42 crore, taking the total collection of the film to Rs 21.75 crore. Among all the films of the Commando franchise, this one is the highest earner till now.
Commando 3 has no major competitor at the box office currently, except for the Dev Patel-starrer Hotel Mumbai. The film is based on the Mumbai terror attacks that took place on 26th November 2008.
In Commando 3, Vidyut Jammwal is seen performing his action star image. He is playing the role of an Indian commando Karanveer Singh Dogra, who is on a mission to grab hold of a terrorist. Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar are also seen performing high fiery action sequences and helping Karanveer in his tracking of the terrorist.
Similar to the previous two Commando films, the third one is also an action-thriller mainly targeted to a specific audience. Vidyut Jammwal looks fabulous with flexing muscles and beating up criminals, at the same time the two leading ladies also show their courage when it comes to their performances.
Before Commando 3, Vidyut Jammwal had his good performance in another action-adventure film, Junglee, directed by American filmmaker Chuck Russel. The film failed to create an impact at the box office. His current film Commando 3 will make Vidyut Jammwal very popular and will see a good ending to the year 2019.
