Narendra Modi on Wednesday (25.12.2019) while addressing a gathering in the state capital after inaugurating the 25-ft tall bronze statue of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Lok Bhawan said the problem over the Citizenship Amendment Act was one of “legacy issues”, declaring that “we will confront the contenders”.

By misinformation transferred by opposition parties’ unnecessary more than a dozen people have lost their lives across Uttar Pradesh in protests against the law, by this what one had achieved. The destruction of public property is estimated to be around Rs 100 crore in seven districts of the state. Violence leads nowhere.

PM Modi said that our legacy problems included Article 370, Ram temple issue and Citizenship Amendment Act. Out of these, we had solved some of the problems which we got as a legacy.

We will now challenge the challengers through CAA by giving citizenship to refugees from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan.

On the occasion of this celebration of 95th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, PM Narendra Modi also said that a government should work for future generations. So far, we had been focusing on our rights, but now, we should focus on our duties. A government should not only work for five years rather it should work for five generations.

He was very much unpleased by the destruction of national property for that he said people who had damaged public properties should question themselves that what they really did was it right. People should not believe in rumours and misinformation rather make your own opinion by understanding the facts.

The Prime Minister also admired Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for development works he has undertaken in the state. When one takes a wide-ranging view then only there is a possibility of good governance and this is very much seen in the governance of Yogi Adityanath.

PM Modi also laid the foundation of Atal Medical University in Lucknow and underlined the importance of preventive healthcare. He further said that programmes such as Swachch Bharat, Yoga and Fit India all are a part of preventive health care. In addition, preventive healthcare for animals is also very necessary as their good health will affect human health too. The Prime Minister said the main concern of his government is to meet the expense of healthcare and Ayushman Bharat is the biggest such scheme in the world. He also said (Union Defence Minister) Rajnath Singh is carrying forward the good work of Atal Ji which as an MP he did in giving a new identity to Lucknow.
